I was born in Namibia, and now a Londoner, my love affair with motorcycles started when I was seven.
I'm extremely impulsive, terribly scatty with a lot more bravery than sense. I can make an adventure out of the damn ordinary - perhaps because calamity always follows short on my heels.
Travels
Having travelled the breadth and length of Southern Africa, including Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland, on anything from a train, car, truck, donkey cart, motorcycle and on foot - I headed for Europe with a backpack and got stuck in London ten years ago.
Now a self-confessed city girl, most of my current travelling is conducted via the luminous yellow of Ryanair (god bless them!) or stints on my KTM Duke (god, I love that bike!) as far as Camden Lock.
Bike History
Thanks to petrol head older brothers, I spent a lot of my childhood on and amongst bikes.
My first bike was a Suzuki Gamma 50, which my brothers "hotted up" for me, so I could respectfully trounce the boys in the neighbourhood on their fifties.
Enduro and offroad bikes have always been my passion and I have owned a Suzuki TS50, Yamaha KMX125, Suzuki RM250, Suzuki DR600 Dakar, a KTM Duke II and now the XT Tenere 600.
Other Interests
Apart from motorcycles, I adore skydiving, am a keen photographer and earn my living from graphic design.
