It seemed a brilliant idea at the time.
Vincent, should get on the back of my bike, and take some video footage of me and John doing our moves in the road. Later on, he can swap bikes, and thus get footage of us both.
This, WOULD in fact been QUITE a good idea - if only Vincent managed to film anything… except the inside of the lenscover!
ANYHOW -- obvlivious of his somewhat DISMALL camera skills at the time, we pranced and moved and executed maneouvres, like pros for the camera and somehow, we lost the group of trucks.
This, would NOT have been a problem - only - Vincent was wearing a pair of shorts, and flip-flops. Hardly hard-core riding gear, and as night set in, temperatures dropped to well below my-god-its-cold.
After franctically trying to contact the group (mobile phone signal melt-down) we decided to stop over in Springbok, and ride out early in the morning, to try and catch up with the 4x4s.
Only - morning arrived, we realised that Vincent would definitely go hypothermal if we don't make plan.
I will leave the VIDEO
, to explain what we did next.
The XT Girls Protective Clothing, lasted for over 500 kilometers...of long, bum-numbing riding.
Needless to say. Vincent is never so keen anymore, to ride pillion with anyone - let alone a XT Girl!
