Tunisia - November 2008

Souks, sand, tuaregs, desert sun... two weeks...XT Girls are doing Tunisia!

The trip is all about getting miles and experience under our belts. In particular, we are hoping to do some more off-piste sand riding.

HOWEVER - because we're essentially novices, we will have a 4x4 vehicle leading the way. (and some strappy blokes to help us haul stuck bikes out of the sand).

Also - since we're biker girls, we don't cook. So we've hussled a lovely Tunisian gentlman who will not only be our guide - but will keep our bellies filled with authentic local cuisine!

There's quite a bit of pure desert crossing - marked in red on the map. We're basically shitting ourselves over that - but... we have a PLAN B, which is taking an alternative (less sandy) route.

Also - the 4x4 will be laying tracks for us (is that how it works?) and we hope to just merrily follow in its wake. (famous last words!)
